The Beginner's Makeup Kit.

Hello my lovies! Welcome to a new Mondays' post ;)x
I remember when I was about the age of 14, I used to be so intrigued about makeup, but the issue was there was (and still is) way too many brands, an infinite amount of products, and everything was just confusing. Thankfully, this is where Youtube and Beauty Gurus came in and helped me find my way into developing my makeup essentials.
So today i'll be sharing with you 6 basic products that every beginner should start out with!
Let's get started.
PS: all swatches will be at the end of the post.

1) Multitasking Concealer.

If you're young and just starting out with makeup, then I don't recommend using foundation, actually I don't recommend using face products at all, BUT, if you're prone to acne or maybe you're a teenager and you're not getting enough sleep which ofcourse means dark under eye circles, then concealer is all you will ever need! But not just any concealer! There are a lot of concealers in the market and each one is targeted for a certain area or purpose. Some are targeted for blemishes, under eyes, highlighting etc. So, try finding a concealer that will cover all of your needs. I've mentioned one about a million times now and i'll mention it again, the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer is my absolute holy grail product!

2) Eyebrow Kit or Eyebrow Pencil.

Something I tell myself everyday, is to NEVER NEGLECT THE EYEBROWS! No matter how little or how much makeup you put on, filling in your eyebrows is essential!!! if you're still young then I recommend using an eyebrow pencil and fill in the little bald spots using feathery strokes. I know that L'oreal makes an amazing eyebrow pencil!
However, if you're older, then using an eyebrow powder like the Body Shop Brow Kit and an angled brush you'll have more precision and a more cleaner look.

3) Brown Eye Pencil.

Why not black? A question that will pop up in a second. Black is very harsh, especially on the lower water line, while brown is more softer and still gives definition and in my opinion suits young girls and makes them kinda look like they're not wearing any product at all. But hey that's all personal preference!
Two amazing eye pencils are the Rimmel London Scandaleyes in the colour Bronze, and the GOSH Kohl Eye Liner in the colour Expresso.

4) Mascara.

At a young age, you might not wanna apply eyeshadows since they are a bit tricky and honestly why bother? So, make your eyelashes the focal point! One day, I wanted to see the difference between one eye with mascara and one without, and Oh how I looked FRIGHTENING haha! Just like eyebrows, eyelashes are pretty important too.
There are two mascaras that are both lengthening and volumizing at the same time!
One is the MaXfactor Clump Defy which is actually the equivalent of the Covergirl Clump Crusher.
And the other one is the Bourjois Volumizer Mascara that has 2 ends, one is to lengthen your lashes and the other is to volumize and thicken.

5) Blush.

After you applied your concealer, your face will most probably look washed out and colourless basically. This is where a little bit of blush will enhance the natural flush to your cheeks and make you look more lively and healthy.
I have 3 blush options: - Elf Blush, shade: Pink Passion.
- Gosh Natural Blush, shade: Flower Power.
- Rimmel London Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush, shade: Coral.

6) Lipstick and Lip gloss.

3 lipstick shades that are needed in every ones collection.
A nude, a pink and a red.
What I've pulled out are a nude lipstick which is the L'oreal Color Riche, shade: Nude.
A light pink which is the Maybelline Colorsensational, shade: Intense Pink.
And a cherry red lip gloss, the reason why I didn't choose a lipstick it's because a lip gloss is more sheer and more suitable for young girls to wear when they are in the mood to change up their lip colour every now and then. The one i chose is the NYX Butter Gloss, shade: Cherry Pie.

 SWATCHES.

From Left to Right.

Top to Bottom: -Gosh Expresso Eye Pencil.

-NYX Cherry Pie Butter Gloss.

And that's all! I really hope this helped you in some way :)
