Hair Care Routine.

Hello my lovies! Hope your weekend is going well so far<3
Today i'll be sharing with you my hair care routine, everything from what I use in the shower to what I use after. I won't be including the products I use when I apply heat on, as that will be in a separate blog post that will also feature how I curl my hair.
I just want to quickly mention facts about my hair.

- First of all, I haven't cut my hair since the 7th grade and at the moment I'm in the 12th grade, so my hair has grown fairly long right now and I do aim to grow it longer.

- I don't wash my hair everyday. I wash it every 4 days which might seem a lot to some, but my hair type doesn't get that oily quickly, so I can get away with not washing it for a few days. However, when I really do feel that my hair is getting quite greasy and I can't bother washing it, I do use Dry Shampoo which is the Batiste Dry Shampoo in Dark & Deep Brown.

- My natural hair colour is medium brown with hints of red undertones, But I did dye the ends of my hair a light caramel/reddish colour in a professional salon.

- My hair naturally dries slightly wavy and sometimes a tiny bit frizzy, but that's if I don't use the products i'll mention. I do get split ends pretty fast and they say you're supposed to cut it every 3 months or so, but honestly, I cut them twice a year haha :D which is bad I know, don't judge.



Products I use.

1) The shampoo and conditioner I use is the TRESemme Keratin Smooth.
I've been using these 2 for about a month now, and I swear by them!! They make my hair feel incredibly soft and silky, reduce the appearance of split ends and they make my hair smell good. AND they're affordable! It can't get any better!

2 QUICK TIPS! - When washing your hair with shampoo, only concentrate it on the scalp and not your whole head of hair. The point of shampoo is to cleanse the scalp from all the oils and gunk accumulated over the days, so there is no point in harshly washing the ends of your hair as they are delicate and in this way you're stripping and damaging it.

- The complete opposite when using conditioner! Only focus on the ends of your hair and not the scalp! If you apply conditioner to your scalp, you'll later on realize that your hair will get greasier in a short period of time.



2) After I get out of the shower, I brush my hair using The Wet Brush, which is designed specifically to brush out wet hair.
Wet hair is extremely delicate and fragile and is more prone to split ends, so a Quick Tip is to use a wide tooth comb or a wet brush like the one I'm using to brush out your hair and remove any tangles formed.



3) And now here comes my holy grail product!! The L'oreal Paris Elvive Smooth Intense Anti-Frizz Serum. I literally can't swear by this product enough! I apply 2 pumps to the ends of my hair only and brush it out with the wet brush again to distribute the product and done! Smooth and Frizz free hair!! This is actually the FOURTH bottle I've purchased as I go through it like a dream! It's also perfect for dry hair as well!



And after that I just tie my hair with a hair tie and leave it to completely air dry! The next morning it'll look like the picture I inserted in the beginning.

10 Tips To Live A Happier Life.

Hello my lovies! Bet you didn't expect a blog post on a WEDNESDAY, but I just felt like posting a little somethin' extra. ;)
As you already know from previous blog posts, i'm all about happiness and living a positive life, so today I'll be sharing with you some tips that have personally helped me over the years to become a happier and a more positive person and hopefully help some, if not, at least one of you. :)

TIP 1) Praying.

I honestly can't put into words how praying helps so much! Just having a close connection to God and having faith in him and thanking him every single day is enough to keep a person feeling calm and peaceful inside. Most certainly my main key to happiness.

TIP 2) Surround Yourself With People Who Make You Smile.

What's the point in living a life surrounding yourself with people who feed you negative energy? Who makes you feel down? 
You're never obligated to deal with such people and go out with them and force yourself to love them, surround yourself with good people, who bring out the good in you, who you can easily talk with, laugh with, share everything with, these are the ones who are going to pick you up and help you rise to the top.

Tip 3) Dance Around To Upbeat Music.

One thing that I sometimes love to do, is to play on some good upbeat music and simply dance around. Maybe dress up, put a little makeup on, just having a little party for one. It helps to de-stress and have a good 10 min party. Alone. Cause why not?

TIP 4) Go Out More.

I'm one who LOVES to go out. I do occasionally enjoy having a night in, BUT just the feeling of walking down the streets and breathing in fresh air can easily make me feel happier inside, whether I'm going out alone or with people. It's an easy way to make you forget any bad issues you're going through or any stressful times or days, it's very effective I promise.

TIP 5) Document Good Days.

Whenever I go out with friends, we always tend to take pictures just so we can look back and remember how damn good that day was and how much fun we had together! So whenever you feel a bit down, have a little look on these pictures, and look at how happy you were that day, it will give you a bit of motivation to pick yourself up and kick out the sadness that's growing inside of you.

TIP 6) Never Regret.

NEVER. EVER. REGRET! Every choice, every step, every mistake, these are what led you to the person you are now. Never look back and tell yourself '' What If? '' or '' I wish I hadn't done that! '' and just dwelling on the past and stressing about it and forgetting that you have a present and a future to live for. Never let your past eat you from the inside out and lose sight on what's important. Everything happens for a reason! Don't forget that! Stay focused on what matters, and set yourself a goal to be happy NOW and LATER.

TIP 7) Forgive.

Remember, the same way you make mistakes and you should forgive yourself for them, others make mistakes too. Never hold grudges on someone, forgive them. We're all humans in the end and we all need to forgive each other so we can move on with our lives and help one another. Some mistakes aren't intentional, remember that too.
And, I do believe in second chances.

TIP 8) Look At The Glass Half Full.

There is good in anything and everything. Being optimistic is a choice, you can either take something and list all the bad things about it, or you can look at the good aspects of it. 
'' Anything is possible if you just believe. '' (5 points if you get where that is from haha :D) 
Look at the light at the end of the tunnel, if you have a positive approach in life, you'll reach that light! Take opportunities, make decisions, always say YES! And hope for the best!

TIP 9) Others Don't Control You.

The key to your life is yours and ONLY yours. Don't just hand that key to anyone, they'll open that door and control everything inside of it! Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying to be cold or not let anyone into your life, I'm saying that you're the owner of that key, you get to open that door and welcome the ones you feel you can trust inside! If you hand them that key, you'll forget yourself, they'll own you and you'll lose your personality, your individuality and you'll end up being a copy and not an original. So, your key, your life, you control yourself.

TIP 10) Look In The Mirror & Smile.

My final and last tip is very simple. Look in a mirror, and smile. I know that sounds so stupid and a bit weird but I swear, when I do that, I feel happier in some odd way. Learn to fall in love with your smile so you would want to show it more! And I know I might sound cliche or whatever, but smiling is honestly the best thing in the world, it's a way to show people that you're happy and life isn't as bad as everyone tends to think it is. Also, I sometimes smile to random people on the street haha, I swear they look at me like I'm a total creep but yeah, I just love smiling.
