Step By Step: Black Ombre Smokey Eye.

Hello my lovies!<3
Today, i'll be showing you a step by step tutorial on a muted black ombre smokey eye that fades into a very light brown! This was personally requested by 2 of my very close friends, and I'm honored to be doing this for them and for all of you as well. There are tons of smokey eyes in the makeup world, and i'm planning on doing a tutorial on each and every one of them. Since this post is purely focused on the eyes, I won't be sharing details on the face makeup. Keep in mind that this is a very dramatic look that will perfectly suit any major event you have like weddings and what not.
ALL smokey eyes can be concluded into 2 words: LAYERING AND BLENDING!
These are the KEY techniques to achieving the PERFECT smokey eye!
PS: Please ignore the eyebrows haha..
So, let's get started.x

STEP 1)

-Having a clean and primed base is essential! Primed is when you either apply an eye shadow primer that will ensure the longevity of your eye shadows and making sure they stay all day long, or you can use an eye shadow base that has a white/cream/beige tint to it, or the easiest option which is using concealer! I personally used the NYX Eye Shadow Base in the shade ESB03.

-Tape! Some of you might think it's very unusual to use something extremely non-beauty related into perfecting your eye shadows! Using tape is a key to achieve a clean and crisp line to your eye shadow look and to your winged eye liner as well!!

STEP 2)

- Apply any medium brown shade to your whole eyelid and your crease.

Shade I used is SEMI-SWEET from the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette.

STEP 3)

- Start applying a very thin layer of black eye shadow (I used a muted black) on the eyelids ONLY!

Shade I used is the darkest shade in the NYX Love In Paris Palette in the shade MERCI BEAUCOUP.

STEP 4)

- Start blending both colours together WHILE applying a dark brown to the outer corner.

The dark brown I used is TRIPLE FUDGE from the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette.

STEP 5)

- Layer both the dark brown and the black shadows on top of each other to create more depth, and blend as well.

STEP 6)

-The very final steps is to blend a very light brown caramel shade right above the crease for a more ombre and diffused look.
-Create a half winged eyeliner.
-Remove the tape.

STEP 7 AND The Final Step!

Continue layering and blending until achieving the desired look!

Apply a couple of coats of mascara, an inner corner and brow bone highlight and a black pencil liner on the water line AND VOILA!!

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you're having a nice day.:)x See you in my next post!<3
